Very sad to hear of John’s passing. Deepest condolences to Una and family. Will miss that wide impish grin that greeted me so many times over the years in the neighbourhood.

  • Ted Chadwick

Please accept our sincere condolences on Jack’s passing. Jack and I were almost constant messmates, shipmates and classmates from 1948 until 1956. He was a kind, considerate and always willing to lend a hand or support when needed. He also graciously served as best man at our weddding.
Again, our condolences. Ted and Pat Chadwick.

    Dear Una:
It was with sadness that we learned of the passing of John. On behalf of myself and my sister Phyliss we offer you the most sincere condolences to you, and your family.
In Saskatoon the Porteous and the Dunbar families were neighbors. Birks was in the same grade as I, so consequently I knew he and his brothers and parents well. I do recall attending many a birthday party at the Porteous house. My sister Phyliss also recalls baby-sitting the boys, and she sends her condolences as well.
We pray that you will be afforded the strength and endurance to cope with the days ahead.
Sincerely Ralph Dunbar and Phyliss Flavell (Dunbar)
