John passed quietly on Dec. 22, 2022. He is survived by his wife Anne (née McMillan), son Rod (Angela) Phillips, daughter Melanie (Byron) Postle, brothers Bill & David & grandchildren Samantha, Nicholas, Nathan, Grace & Chloe.

 

John was a career civil servant with the Province of BC and loved spending his later years between Victoria & Palm Springs. He could often be found on the golf course, gardening in the backyard and always with a gentle grin.

 

A Memorial Service will be held in the Sequoia Centre, at McCall Gardens, 4665 Falaise Drive, Victoria, BC, on Thursday, January 5, 2022 at 2:00pm.

Tributes, if desired, may be made in John’s name to the Saanich Peninsula Hospital Foundation (www.sphf.ca)
