Lynn McColl-Stewart Gwen & Christina (and family)
I thought your Dad was very dashing with his black fedora. He had strong opinions, enjoyed a political conversation and stayed very current.
He and Margaret had a meaningful relationship and they enjoyed each other’s company so much. They planned short trips, Victoria outings and enjoyed picnics on Mount Tolmie.
I knew Jack for three years and he was a delight. Dirk and I miss him already.
A life well lived, and long lived, and yet I know we all wanted more.
Another person of the “last great generation” is gone. We are grateful to have met your Dad and saw what happiness he brought to Margaret.
We share your sorrow.
Lynn and Dirk

midge carey so sorry to hear of your dad’s passing. I knew your dad when he was a salesman for kelly douglas many many years ago. He used to call on my mom and dad’s store in shawnigan lake. (mason’s store) he would show up monday morning cigarette in his mouth and have a very lively discussion with my dad. after their tryst the actualy business would take place. even after he retired he would still pop in once in a while just to touch base. it was always a joke in our home how much we enjoyed watching him and my dad interact. hugs to you all midge and norm carey
