Judie Laird So sorry to hear of Uncle Mike’s passing. My first thoughts were what a colourful character he was, so enthusiastic and full of life, especially when talking about his girls and the grandkids and his life in Victoria. I think probably he was one of the few people who didn’t have unrealistic expectations of others. He just enjoyed the life he had and lived it well. How wonderful! Cherish your memories.
Love, Judie

Arlene Pollock So very sad to hear of Uncle Mike’s passing. I remember our visits to Victoria with fondness. Uncle Mike was a great walker and an even greater talker. I’m sure he holds a record for miles walked while carrying on a conversation without running out of breath!
Such a spirited guy.
Sincerest sympathy to my cousins Colleen and Laurie.Arlene Pollock(Smith) and family

John Hewson I wish to pass on my thoughts to the family of my experience with Terry. First, I did teach with his daughter Dana at Wishart Elementary School. She was a lovely soul.
However it is through Women’s Basketball at U of Vic that I came to know Terry. He was an avid fan of the team and I often sat with him as my daughter Lindsay played on the team from 2001 to 2005. As I recall he really admired the girls’ talent. He would sometimes hand me a bag of quarters to give to the team. I wasn’t sure why. Perhaps his banking experience had something to do with that?
Anyway he was a kind fellow and I think of him fondly.

Ray & Barbara Vater Our condolences to the O’Dowd family on the passing of Terry. We had many good years living as neighbours on Rockcrest Place in Esquimalt & saw the 4 girls grow up there. I know he will be sadly missed.

David Smith Condolences from the Smith clan of Montreal. Uncle Mike was
an interesting guy to talk to on many subjects. I remember the
last time in Winnipeg he talked as we walked about the city. He
had a high energy leval and could be counted on to keep the
conversation flowing. This was many years ago but I still remember his get up and go. We are sorry he has passed on
and he will be missed greatly.
Sincerely

Lois Keir I was so sorry to hear of Mike’s passing – your cousin Linda just called me. Mike was my Aunt Jean’s brother. We all enjoyed Mike’s visits to Winnipeg – he loved to attend the basketball games. He was a truly great man, loved a good joke, was a very proud father of his 4 girls and grandchildren. He will be truly missed.
Sincere Sympathy, Lois Keir.
Tonight searching the internet, I learned Terry had died…I am so sorry to hear this. My bothers and I often thought of him as we had lost contact after our mother died. Terry was a wonderful man full of joy and love, and such a kind and gentle soul. Although he was my stepfather, he was so much more than that. My heart is filled with happy memories and love for him.
Sincerely,
Cheryl
