Born in Prague, Czechoslovakia, Joe passed away peacefully in Victoria at the age of 85.

Joe (Pepik) immigrated to Canada in the early 1950’s and with a few stops along the way, he finally settled in Victoria, B.C.  Being a lover of music and singing, Joe was also an avid fan of hockey, lacrosse, soccer and an accomplished table tennis player. Joe was often a mainstay at Memorial Arena and soccer fields around Victoria.

Predeceased by his first wife, Ruth, now leaving behind wife, Helen Hrasky; step-son, Jaroslav (Petra); step-grandsons, Tielo (Chantal) and Kielan (Brianna and children, Avery and Hudson).

After rock-drilling during Malahat construction, Joe took his hard-working ethic and loyalty to Goodwill Bottling, where he retired as their accountant after which cruising and traveling with wife, Helen occupied his time.

Many thanks to the caring staff and Dr. Vaughn at James Bay Care Centre.

I LOVE YOU HELENKO!
