  • Ruth (Besson) Jones

    Dear Al and family:
It was with such shock when I learned of my dear cousin Joy’s passing. Although we hadn’t seen each other for many years, we shared many telephone conversations and laughter. Especially laughter because Joy loved to laugh and we shared many memories together. As children and even teenagers, Joy, Victor, and myself were a constant threesome. And oh, what fun we had!

I bet heaven is rojoicing right now with Victor and Joy re-united again and also because she is with her mom and dad who I know were waiting for her, along with her beloved Lord.

Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you all.

    Cousin Ruth.

    Dear Al Stone and family,

I am very sorry to hear and read of your great loss. It was great to know my cousin Joy and her family. I am sorry to have not been with her for a number of years and for not having met you Al nor Joy’s children for years.

I pray that we will eventually all get together someday when Jesus comes again or sends his angels to get us who are his and are true lovers of God.

    God bless.

  • Donna (Cran) Juss

Our family was so sorry to hear of the passing of Joy. Joy was such a great help to my Mom after my Dads passing last year.
We thought the world of Joy and her name suited her well as she always brought our Mom joy.

  • Beverley Marmounier Johnston

On behalf of the Marmounier family, I wish to express our condolences on the passing of Joy. Although I never met her, I have heard about her through the years from her parents and cousins. My Dad, Gaston Marmounier, went to be with the Lord on June 4, 2010 at age 90. He always spoke very highly of the Besson family. The Marmounier and Besson families were closely connected from their Switzerland origins and then following their immigration to Manitoba in the early 1900s. The friendship was so close that it seemed as if they were related. My aunts, Daisy West of Regina and Marie Scott of Winnipeg, and my Mom, Ruby Marmounier of Thunder Bay, will be sad to learn of Joy’s passing. I will be in touch with them.

May God bless and comfort each of you during this sad time.

    Beverley Johnston, Surrey, BC

  • Ivan & Grace Bjorklund

We are sorry to hear of the passing of Joy, she was a long time family friend. Ivan and Joy grew up together. Our family connections go back to when they all lived in Badger, Manitoba around 1910. The Bjorklund and Bessan families homesteaded there, immigrating from France. We will be praying for you all and thinking of you on Tuesday. Love Ivan and Grace.

  • Connie Armstrong

    Dear Al,
    Debbie-Joy and family,
    Calvin and family,

I am so sorry to hear of Joy’s passing. Larry called me from Switzerland yesterday.
There are times when life is way too short, and this would be that time. Although we have not had much connection throughout the years I always knew Joy was there with such a cheerful spirit. She always expressed great pride in you all and I know you will miss her greatly.
My memories flood to your grandparents and the strong faith they had. I hope you will trust God to carry you through this difficult time and the changes that makes to your lives.
I would have prefered to send you a card, but I have no addresses so appreciate this mode of communication.
We’ll be praying for you, especially on Tuesday . . .
    Your Cousin Connie (Besson)
    and Gord Armstrong
