    Hello Dave and family,

Judy has (will always have) a special place in our hearts for Gary and I, which includes the people of Enoch Cree Nation, the children and now adults and grandparents who she provided a vital service as Public Health Nurse. The impact she has had on our community continues since she took the leadership role for women in the community to take an active role in the decision making of health concerns. We will all miss her.

I feel so happy to see all the comments by LHS friends & others.. Judy & I had a great life together, our love for each other was strong in the fifties & remained strong throughout. our 49yrs of marriage. We remained best friends to the end. Judy’s passing was very quick. She died in her sleep at home. Until we meet again Judy.. We ha e a great family. Thanks for your comments.
    Sincerely, Dave.

Judy was a few years older than I, and I can’t say I knew her, but when I think of her I remember a beautiful, happy girl who seemed so full of life, so healthy. In later years I sang in a barbershop chorus with her mother-in-law, who spoke so highly of her.

It is such a trip down memory lane to read the messages and see the names of so many fellow LHS students. How happy those years were, although heaven knows we didn’t appreciate it at the time!

I send my sincere sympathies to Judy’s loved ones.

    Diane

    Dear Dave and family,

Over 50 years is a long time to not see someone, but I still remember the good times I had with Judy, especially as members of the Lachine High School Singers.

My thoughts are with you and your family at this sad time in your lives. Remember that life goes on, and I don’t think Judy would want it any other way for all of you.

    Dear Dave and your family,
Please accept my deepest sympathy in this time of sorrow and distress. i was looking forward to reconnecting with judy at our reunion in montreal and I inderstand from Velma Barnes, Judy was also, wanting to see all her longtime classmates. Judy and i worked together, but more importantly we lived in the same house during our training days and that was a close group at Durnford House. I had come to the big city from a small town in western Quebec, and judy was one of those “big city girls” who befriended me in my homesickness. i wil always remember her lovely smile and eyes.

Dear David, My years have been blessed with the “joy “of knowing Judith ,as my special cousin ,as well as ,my dear friend. I will cherish my memories of laughter, dressing up as teenagers, sleepovers in Welland & Roxborough, talking all night and eating all the Easter bunny,s chocolate before midnight– and then our summer trip West singing and writing in our journals. Judy was my role model as I grew up–she was the best !! I treasure our connection through the years and have admired her as nurse, wife, mother, grandmother and loving daughter– always caring, compassionate and patient. When Judy laughed ,it touched my heart. In my opinion, her life connected to your life was heaven made and has touched many lives. May Heavenly Father bless you David as you carry on with the beauty of the love and memories that you two shared .Judith will always be in my heart. Love always, cousin,Mary xoxo

    Dave,
I am so sorry to hear of Judy’s passing. I can still picture her as the beautiful, energetic, and happy teenager she was at Lachine High. It’s hard to believe that over fifty years have passed since those carefree days. Before I moved to Ontario nine years ago, I used to bump into Campbell now and then and he would always bring me up to date on how you and Judy were doing. Dave, my thoughts are with you and your family at this painful time.
    Bob Moore.

    Dear Dave.

I was sorry to hear about your loss. There just are never adequate words to express what we feel at a time like this. I only met Judy on several occasions but I remember her as lovely, friendly and vivacious.

  • Dorothea Morris MacDonnell

When I think of Judy I remember a vivacious, rosy cheeked teenager with a wonderful smile. I also think she had the best hairstyle (D.A.?) of the day. Always such a positive and engaged member of the Lachine High community and I will remember her thus. My deepest condolences on your loss.
