My heart goes out to Kathy, Gordon, Janet and Philip and their families for the loss of their wonderful mother. Having long been a close friend of my parents, she was a fixture in my childhood – twinkling eyes, able to lovingly manage a large and energetic family, and always game for new ideas, conversations, and adventures. I am sorry not to have seen more of her since her move to BC, but will remember her fondly.

Hi dear kids. Your mom was a very special person …. a lady with abounding natural elegance. Quiet, serene and kind. Qualities that seem to be really rare these days. I reflect back to almost eighty years ago. In the living room on Dunvegan road, with her parents and her sister Jane; with my parents and my sister Beth. It seems like yesterday that your mom and I were part of that gathering! Well behaved, hair in pigtails. Those years we shared lots of growing up adventures together. We have both been blessed to live this long. Please know that I’m thinking of you all and sending you all my love. Judy

Oh, Kath, Gordon, Janet and Philip…. I am so sorry for your loss. I loved your Mom. She was always so kind to me and allowed me to hang around your home as a youngster in Toronto. Later I was privileged to spend time with her and share so many stories whenever I got to Victoria. I laughed and cried with her. She will be deeply missed. With love, Toony
