Later in life Karen expressed that the Stonehenge was her favourite of all places on earth.  Upon returning to Canada, her family settled in Victoria (Belmont Park) where she attended elementary school followed by Vic High.

A long-time member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Prince Edward Branch #91, Karen will always be remembered as the lady who always had a smile and a kind word. As an employee of the Deli Department, Karen was loved and admired all by the staff at the Superstore.

My Deepest Sympathy to all of Karen’s family. I’m Karen’s cousin but never really got to know her. I remember meeting her when we were both 10 or 11 years old. When her family moved from England they stopped by our home in Ontario. After they left our home and move to Victoria, Karen and I wrote letters to each other for a while. May God be with you in your time of sorrow and always. Rest in peace Karen.
