October 10, 1921 – November 14, 2011

Kathleen died peacefully after a long battle with cancer. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, John, in 1993. She is survived by her three daughters: Kathleen Anne Moeller and her husband David; Margaret West and her son Ian Schipper, grandma’s golden boy, and his partner, Kitty Higbee; Helen Ciuciura and her husband Jim.

Kathleen derived great strength from her faith and pleasure in her work and friendships in her 57 year membership in the Catholic Women’s League in Sarnia, Ontario, and in Victoria. The family extends thanks to staff and volunteers at Hospice Victoria for unfailingly warm and excellent care.

A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Andrew’s Roman Catholic Cathedral, 740 View Street, at 12 noon, on Friday, November 18, 2011. In lieu of flowers, donations in Kathleen’s name to Hospice Victoria, 1952 Bay St., Victoria, BC, or Cancer Research, would be appreciated by the family. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.mccallbros.com.

Sorry to hear of your Mother’s death.
I don’t remember just when I talked to her last, but we had a nice visit.
She was my next door neighbour when she lived in Sarnia and I really missed her when she moved to Victoria.
My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

To Kay’s daughters and their families….I worked with your Mom,
Kay for many years at Mueller in the sale office in
Sarnia. I also met your father John, I had lost track
of where they were living after leaving Sarnia, but thought
of them often. Did know they came from England but
don’t remember where. There isn’t too many left from
Mueller that knew your Mom so unable to share memories
with them. She will be greatly missed by all, such a lovely
    person to have known.
    Sincere sympathy to all.

My prayers and sincere sympathy are with you at this time.
I worked with Kay at the Separate School Board in Sarnia for a number of years and considered Kay a very good friend. I hope she has enjoyed her retirements years in Victoria. I have thought of her often.
Again my prayers and sincere sympathy.
