Kathleen Filmer (nee Rumming) died peacefully on Monday, 24th January, 2011, in her 100th year of life. Predeceased by her loving husband, Noel, Kay is survived by her son, Alan (Margaret) Filmer and daughter, Rosemary (Mitch) Lukinuk; five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Kay was born in Nanaimo on October 11, 1911 to a pioneer Island family and lived a full life surrounded by many friends and relatives.
