Predeceased by her love of her life, Stanley Evans. Survived by her 3 children, Cindy Fuailefau (Joe deceased 2024) Rob Evans (Sherri) Dilys Vickers (Ingo) and her 11 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She was one of 8 children. Survived by siblings, Edythe and Pat predeceased by Teddy, Nora, Tommy, Alice and Harvey.
She was born in Drumheller, AB, as a teen she moved to Calgary, AB, where she met her husband Stan in Safeway. He was the store manager and she was a cashier, she thought he was quite handsome but was warned by other girls to stay away from him as he was Mormon. Mom said “he doesn’t seem like a moron to me.” They married in Calgary March 28th, 1958. They started their married life in Calgary having 3 children. At 25, she and Stan moved to England with 3 young children, she trained as an RN in Salisbury Wiltshire. On their return to Canada in 1974, she started nursing again and worked at The Gorge Road Hospital and St. Michaels University School as the school nurse finally settling in at the Royal Jubilee Hospital. She ended her career working in the medical records department after a back injury.
In retirement she loved to do genealogy and could be found at the Family History Centre of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She spent countless hours teaching people how to do genealogy and looking for her family that had gone before, it was her true passion, along with chocolate.
She was very lovingly cared for in her final years by the amazing staff at the Sidney Care Home, to whom we are very grateful.
She leaves us to return to her Stan, who said on his passing that he would come for her but needed a bit of rest first.
We Love you, Mom.

I had the pleasure of working with your mom in medical records at the Jubilee. She was such a lovely lady and had such funny stories about her life and family.
My condolences to you Cindy and the rest of your family.
