It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved Keira on March 21, 2021.
She passed in her father’s home surrounded by love and comfort.
She leaves behind her father, Lars Olsen, her mother, Sophia Marcos, her brother, Christian and many aunts, uncles, cousins and grandparents.
We know Keira is now with her Farmor, Mette Olsen and her great grandparents, Niels and Aase Olsen and Manuel Moniz.
Keira was a true artist and creative thinker. She was at peace and truly happiest when creating her art. She was a beautiful, funny, outgoing girl, yet very introspective, a thinker.
We will always remember her infectious smile that could light up your soul, her piercing blue eyes and her caring, creative personality.
Keira, you are in our hearts forever.

Happy birthday love. Sweet 16. I think about you constantly. You are, and always will be my sunshine, when I think of you you truly do make me happy in the most gray of skies.
You were such a beautiful girl.
Keira, we’ve been best friends for 2 years. We had ups and downs but God this hurt so much. You meant the world to me and I know ever since this happened I’ve been just feeling numb with grief. I really hope I can see you soon. Not only did I lose a best friend, I lost a soul mate. I really wish we weren’t on bad terms at the end but I love you so much, my love. Hope goes out to your family as well, with all the things that happened. If anyone is reading this and if your sad just know you’re loved. I’m sorry for not really saying the right words for a condolence, it’s just I don’t know how to react.

Keira-
You mean the world to me, I met you in grade 8 and those blue eyes and smile brought me comfort. We lost touch but when you moved to the mainland we got back in touch, you lived down the street and we did almost everything together like old times. You were and are my family and I remember you so well and it’s hard to believe your gone still but I made you a promise that I will keep forever and more. We all love and miss you so much Keira. Rest easy
My Heartfelt condolences for the passing of your beautiful daughter. Wishing you and your family the courage in this time of grief.

Keira,
I am so grateful to have been your Grade four and five teacher at Sidney Elementary. Every memory I have is of a bright eyed, smiling, happy girl. You loved art, crafts, and reading but were happy to engage in all of our activities. You were kind and caring, a great friend and classmate. The news of your passing has had an impact on me and reminds me of how precious our students are – each one unique and special leaving a mark on our hearts. I will cherish the memories and photos I have of you. You will not be forgotten. My heart goes out to your family, friends, and all of those missing you right now.
Our most heartfelt condolences for the passing of Keira. Wishing you courage in this time of grief.
Sincerely,
Louise and Alan Laitinen
