COWAN, Kristina Mary (nee: Ellis) passed away peacefully to go home to her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ at Victoria on September 3, 2007. Kristina passed away surrounded by family while being held by loved ones and is lovingly remembered as a daughter, a sister, a wife, mother and best friend. Kristina is survived by her husband, Andrew; daughter, Courtney; and son, Brandon.
Kristina is lovingly remembered by many family and friends as a woman that lived life to the fullest, cherished her family above all and was always there when you needed it.
Special thanks to the staff at Royal Jubilee Hospital respiratory ward over the past years as Kristina fought Cystic Fibrosis while refusing to allow it to limit her passion, enthusiasm and joy of life.
Visitation for close friends and family will be at McCALL BROS. FAMILY CHAPEL, Johnson and Vancouver Streets on Sunday, September 9, 2007 between 12 pm and 8 pm.
A private family burial will take place on Monday, September 10, 2007, followed by a open invitation celebration of Kristina’s life at GATEWAY BAPTIST CHURCH, 898 Royal Oak Drive, Victoria, BC at 2:00 pm.
Kristina always said that police officers were too serious of a bunch and it was her goal to make them more sensitive. She has done just that in both her life and her passing into Glory.
