Leo passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his family on Saturday, May 2, 2026, in Victoria, B.C. He was born on November 26, 1953, in Sao Miguel, Azores.

Predeceased by his wife Celeste in 2018 and his eldest son Mark in 1993. Leo is survived by his son David, fiancé Ana, his sisters Luisa and Connie, as well as his endless community of family and friends.

Leo was a true student of life, always learning new things. He loved to hear about other people’s life stories, while always offering help by sharing advice from his own life experience.

A Memorial Service will be held in the Sequoia Centre at McCall Gardens, 4665 Falaise Drive, Victoria, BC on Friday, May 8th, 2026, at 10:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the: BC Cancer Agency, 2410 Lee Avenue, Victoria, BC V8R 6V5 or BC Children’s Hospital Foundation, 938 West 28th Avenue, Vancouver, BC V5Z 4H4.
