It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Luigi (Louie) Reda at the age of 64.
He is predeceased by his father Giuseppe (Joe) Reda. He will forever be loved and missed by his mother Laura. Louie was an only child – he was his mother’s great joy and the bond shared was always close, steady and enduring. He also leaves behind many cousins and loved ones in Victoria, Toronto, Montreal and Italy.
Louie was bright. As a young man he attended St. Michaels – this was a very special time and memory to him. Those years shaped him. He built lifelong friendships there; friendships he carried with him into adulthood. He stayed connected. He caught up with friends, and he cherished the people he shared his life and moments with.
A visitation and rosary will be held from 5:00pm- 6:00pm Wednesday, March 4th, 2026, at SACRED HEART CHURCH, 4040 Nelthorpe Street in Victoria BC.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 pm, Thursday, March 5th, 2026, at SACRED HEART CHURCH, 4040 Nelthorpe Street in Victoria BC.
Entombment to follow the service at Royal Oak Mausoleum.
Condolences may be offered to the family below.

Patrizia Barbon Laura, we are all in shock. I would see Lou at white spot and we would talk about old times and laugh. I am so very sorry to hear of his passing. I am here if there is anything I can do. He is with his Dad now and we will keep him and you in our prayers.

I’ve known Luigi since our school days at St. Michael’s University School and have many fond memories of shared experiences. I could tell so many funny stories about the times we hung out during and after those school years. I’ll never forget him and am saddened I won’t be seeing him again hanging out at the food court at Hillside Mall or at Sound Hounds.
