Manuel tended my property for nearly 20 years. He was so cheerful and passionate in his communication. He always asked about my little boy… who eventually grew up and left home. However, Manual still asked about him at each visit. I have missed his truck pulling up at my curb. My deepest condolences to the family.

We were neighbours for a long time.
He was a very kind person who tried to help us with gardening and plant beautiful flowers .
When ever he saw us outside he would come and ask us about the family .

While I may not have had the opportunity to know your father personally, I can only imagine the profound impact he must have had on your life and the lives of those around him. Losing a parent is never easy, and I want you to know that my thoughts are with you and your family as you navigate through this period of grief and sorrow.

Our hearts go out to all the Carreiros, wonderful Rita ,and his three children, Tony, Anita and Mani , and his daughter in law Ana and and son in law Henry and his 4 grandchildren .. all who loved and respected Manuel so much . He was a dedicated family man ,a hard worker and a fun person to be with. He set a great example for his family and all who knew him.
We have so many fond memories over the years of Manuel working hard in our varied gardens ,making each one beautiful. .As hard as he worked he always loved a good visit and teasing and telling of jokes. Gus said he loved the couple of times he got to work alongside Manuel when we had produced a new garden project … there was never a task too daunting for him to take on He always saw them through with grace.
Over the years we have had the privilege of knowing the whole kind generous Carreiro family and we have been spoiled with Manuel’s tomatoes and other garden wonderful produce, and Rita’s delicious baking.
All of you can be at peace knowing that you did everything possible in Manuel’s last months to make him feel comfortable ,and loved. Your dedication was exemplary and I’m sure he left in peace knowing what a exceptional family he and Rita had raised. His values of integrity, kindness, generosity joy and hard work live on in all of you.
Our hearts are mourning your loss with you but I know he will live on in your memories and actions forever.
    Love from Ricki and Gus
