Passed away in Victoria on February 20, 2010. She was born in Victoria on February 15, 1923. Predeceased by her husband, Donald. Survived by her step-children, Robert, Catherine and Nadine and their families as well as extended family in the U.K.

Doreen was a friend I felt privleged to know. I always marvelled at how much she enjoyed her dog, her friends, her neighbours, her neighbourhood and life. She had a wonderful laugh and if one’s life is judged by attitude then she had one of the most successful lives of anyone I’ve know. Even though I had moved away and mostly lost touch with her I will miss her greatly and am saddened just knowing she won’t be there when I stop by with some chocolate to have a tea with her and her devoted dog.
