Passed away peacefully at Aberdeen Hospital inVictoria on February 2, 2011. Born in Wallasey, England, in 1915, Margaret outlived two husbands: Leslie Brackstone (1965) and Ruben Karlson (1992), as well as her brother,Gordon Dinning, and sister, Patey Sanné-Jones. Survived by her son Gordon Brackstone (Anne); stepson Ruben “Lou” Carlson (Evelyn) and stepdaughter Karin Henery (John). Grandmother (Nanabees) to Karen Tugwell (Andrew), Nicola Clarke (Jeff) and Paul Brackstone (Susan). Great-grandmother to Finlay, Archie, Sara, Amy, Jack and Oscar. Sadly missed by many friends she made since emigrating to Victoria in 1981.
Special thanks to the staff of Lansdowne Unit, Aberdeen Hospital, for four years of loving care. In lieu of flowers donations to the Parkinson’s Society, 890 West Pender Street #600, Vancouver, BC V6C 1J9 would be appreciated.
Funeral service to be held Monday, February 7 in ST. BARNABAS CHURCH, 1525 Begbie Street, Victoria at 10:30 a.m. with reception to follow in the Church hall. Interment at Hatley Memorial Gardens, 1:30 p.m. Condolences may be offered at www.mccallbros.com.
