Jean passed away peacefully at RJH on June 4th, 2013 at the age of 83 years. She was born in Ottawa, Ontario and moved to Victoria in 1982. Jean was predeceased by her husband, Earl R. Peterson in 1978 and her brother William Blackburn in 2002. She is lovingly remembered by her daughter Linda Van der Grient (Daniel) of Gloucester, Ontario, and son Paul Peterson (Brigitte) of Val Des Monts, Quebec, along with her beloved grandchildren, Tricia and David Van der Grient, and Justine and Carl Peterson.
Jean was a devoted member of the Church of St. John the Divine family. A celebration of Jean’s life will be held at the Church of St. John the Divine, Tuesday, June 11th, 2013 at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Condolences may be offered below.
