    Dear Sharon, Diane and Debbi,
I was saddened to hear of your mother’s passing. She will be remembered fondly as one of the neighbour ‘moms’ that looked out for all of us kids on Sandowne Rd. Your mom always made me feel welcome when visiting at your house with her wonderful smile and positive, loving spirit! I’m thinking of you all at this time.
    Sincerely, Sue Wright (Trythall)

    Hi Larry,

As you know, we won’t be present tomorrow at the service, but believe me, we (Judy and I) will be there in thought and spirit. And as you know, due to the huge distances, Kathy (in New Mexico) and Jane (in Ireland) won’t also be able to attend.

Please pass on to Sharon, Debbie and Dianne that I have heartfelt feelings about Aunty Margaret’s passing, and will be there in spirit tomorrow. To me, her passing feels not just like her personal passing, but a passing of a generation that I have grown to look up to, and base my heritage upon, family wise. As I said in my earlier e-mail, she had become our family’s Matriarch, and will be missed as such…

I may have been one of the young (and I think perhaps youngest(?)) of our many cousins (nephew to AM, of course), and maybe because of my age, and as such, maybe kind of not well known among the many cousins of our huge family but I have always embraced our family name and heritage strongly, and just love every opportunity to get together with my greater family and not just see them, but get to know them as time passes (yes, another thanks to you and Sharon for those annual Boxing Day gatherings!).

(By the way, is it just me and my aging, or I am the only one trying to remember all the names of ALL those younger ones…especially at your gatherings? That was just a small smile in this serious and sombre message..)

From my many locations I have lived in, I have been constantly proud of the origins of the family name that I have literally worn on my uniform every single day, and every time I see “Ross” on my uniform, I feel proud. And Aunty Margaret represents so much of our family name. She was so much of a lady, and a fun Aunty to come and visit, every time I came…I have extremely very young memories when she had candies for me(us) when I came to visit with her and Uncle Fred and the girls…

All this to say that from her brother “Georgie’s” family’s perspective, she was well remembered. And loved. I will, as we all will, miss her. And I know, after talking with Kathy and Jane (via e-mail) that they feel exactly the same. (and Kathy having also passed on her feelings personally recently).

love Mark (and Judy) Ross, but really, passing on all our condolences, from George Ross’s family
