Margery was born April 23, 1931, in Vancouver, B.C. and passed away March 12, 2024 in Saanichton, B.C. She is survived by her 3 children, Eric Littley (Ann Milliken), Janet Caird, and Nancy Nagy (Steve Nagy), 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Nothing was more important to Margery than her family and she cherished the times we were all together.

Margery taught for many years in the Victoria school district. After she retired, she taught music theory at the Victoria Conservatory and presented the Art Gallery in the Schools program at local schools. She was a lifelong teacher and learner and was awarded a Fine Arts diploma from the University of Victoria at age 80.

Margery was always up for an adventure and enjoyed hiking, camping and exploring new places and experiences. Gardening was her passion, one she passed on to her children and grandchildren – all avid gardeners.

Margery spent the last 10 years of her life in the extended Care Unit of the Saanich Peninsula Hospital. The family would like to thank the staff for the wonderful care she received.

The family is planning a celebration of life later in the spring. Condolences may be offered to the family below.

I’m thinking of your family as you grieve the loss of Marjery. I enjoyed her wit and humour when we spent short times together en route to family gatherings. She was a very special lady and such a dedicated teacher. She taught my kids at Rockheights in the early 1980’s. Bless her and all of you!
