It is with great sadness that the family of Maria Fernanda De Torres announces her passing on August 5, 2016, at the age of 69, after a long courageous battle with cancer. Predeceased by Artur De Torres, her beloved husband. A devoted mother to Fatima and Terry Jones and John and Sokly De Torres; loving grandmother to Kyle and Kate Jones and to baby Sofia De Torres (on the way).
Prayers will be offered at Our Lady of Fatima, 4635 Elk Lake Drive, on Tuesday, August 9th at 7:00 pm. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Fatima on Wednesday, August 10th at 11:30 am with interment at Royal Oak Burial Park with reception to follow.
Donations to Victoria Hospice would be appreciated.
In the words of one of her grandchildren, “How lucky are we to have been loved so deeply that saying goodbye is so hard to do.” You’ll be missed.

We all went to the same church. She always had that upbeat smile and regardless how busy she was. She took a minute to say hi. Or offer a hug. She will be with her husband is in heaven and leaves her entire family with her amazing memories and smiles when sun is shinning.
May God keep her family safe. Strong and let grievance only strengthen her family and her friend she leaves behind .
