Born in Ogulin, Croatia January 26, 1936 and passed away April 28, 2011 in Victoria, BC. Predeceased by her husband Imro (Mike) in 2008. Survived by her brother Frank (Kathy); sons Robert, Denis (Suzana); grandchildren Daniel, Patrick, Anna-Maria and Monika; brother-in-law Ivan (Kathy); neices Marina, Mirjana and Adrijana. Maria came to Canada in 1964 to join her husband. She worked as a nurse’s aid in Royal Jubilee Hospital for over 30 years. Maria was a hard working person with an outgoing and humorous personality. She was a loving and dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. She will be dearly missed by all her family and friends.
Prayers will be Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at 7:00 pm at St. Leopold’s Roman Catholic Church, 4801 Gordon Head Road. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Leopold’s Thursday, May 5, 2011 at 11:00 am with Entombment to follow at Royal Oak Burial Park. Condolences may be offered at www.mccallbros.com.
