Helena passed away peacefully with her family by her side on December 23, 2015 after suffering for many years from Alzheimer’s. She was born on April 4, 1933 in Vila Franca do Campo, Sao Miguel, Azores. Predeceased by her husband, Armando in 2013, Helena is survived by her children, Fatima (Joao), and Antonio; grandchildren, Veronica (Bruno), and Joshua and great-grandchild, Sebastian.
Her greatest pleasure was spending time with her family, cooking, singing, and participating in the Portuguese parish. She always had a smile for everyone, a great sense of humor, and will be missed by many.
Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at 11:00AM at Our Lady of Fatima Parish. Interment at Royal Oak Burial Park to follow mass.
