    Dear John,

I was saddened to read of the passing of your wife in the Ottawa Citizen. I never met Marie. However, because you always spoke so highly of her during the time you were my boss at the Entomology Library, I felt I knew her a little. May your many good memories of her help sustain you through this difficult time.

Hopefully one day we will meet up again, John. I was in Victoria in 2005 and maybe I will get back that way again especially now that my daughter lives in Calgary.

John, know that my thoughts and prayers are with you.

    Sincerely,

    Paula
