Marion passed away in her 95th year, after a brief illness, on August 5th, 2012. She was predeceased by her first husband, Albert Hagell in 1969, and by her second husband, Everett Brown in 1991. She is survived by her step-daughter Sue Campbell, Sue’s daughter Sharon Watters and son Kelvin Campbell, their children, and numerous nieces and nephews. Marion will be missed by her friends and the staff at Carlton House. Special thanks is extended to her friend, Joan Giles and her doctor, Eric Shafonsky.
A memorial service for Marion will be held in the Chapel at St. John the Devine Anglican Church, 1611 Quadra Street, on Friday, August 17, at 10:30 a.m. Donations in memory of Marion to the SPCA or Victoria Hospice would be greatly appreciated. Condolences may be offered below.
