Mike & Sue, and Gerald, Noel and Pat,

I was saddened to hear of your mother’s passing. Athough she lived a full life, it’s always sad when someone who touches everyone’s heart leaves us. I remember going to your house on Bouchier and Mrs. Wardell was always so welcoming. It didn’t matter how many of us crammed into that house, she didn’t seem to mind and always had a smile on her face. I’ll never forget how comfortable that made us feel. Aside from a loving family, making people feel special is her legacy.

    Our thoughts are with you.

To Pat, Noel, Gerald & Mike,
How likely is it that I read of your Mom’s passing here in Ciudad Guzmán, Jalisco México? We are all a long way from the Redfern Park days, but I still remember your Mom so well. She was allways a great neighbour, and a kind and welcoming individual who treated all the neighbourhood kids as her own.
Although I will be unable to attend her service, I’ll be there in spirit. Please know that you are all very much in my thoughts.

    Thinking of you all
