Mom was born on April 18, 1921 at the Jubilee Hospital
in Victoria. She ended her journey where she started it at
the Jubilee Hospital on the evening of March 23, 2011. She
died after a short bout of pneumonia a few weeks short of
her 90th birthday. Mary was predeceased by her husband and
the light of her life, John, who died on April 10,1981.
John and Mary had a 38 year warm and loving marriage. Mary is
survived by her 10 men, that is, her two sons John and Bill,
her four grandsons, Stephen (Tara), Graham (Allison), Andrew
(Emily), John (Ashley) and her 4 great grandsons,
Jack, Nixon, Wyatt and Robert. She will also be greatly missed
by her very special daughter-in-law, Dale, and her life long friend
Eileen Mann. Mary was a quick minded and aware to the end. She
led a simple life with her family being at it’s centre. She will
be greatly missed all who knew her. In lieu of flowers please send
donations to SPCA. A memorial gathering will be held at a later date.
