Passed away peacefully at home in Victoria, BC on September 26, 2011. Beloved wife of Charles Seath Gurd (deceased). Survived by her children Charles, Margaret (and Colin Adair), Jennifer, and grandchildren Philippe and Alexis. In lieu of flowers please feel free to make a charitable donation in Mary’s name to S.A.L.T.S. or a worthy charity of your choice. Memorial service to be announced.

So sorry to hear of your mom’s passing. It truly is the end of an era. It’s a year ago that dad passed away. I have many fond memories of your mom when we would go up to lac ouimet especially the summer we were at Marois. As it turns out, my brother in law has a cottage just down from the one we rented at Marois. We took a drive over and saw your old family cottage. It was autumn so it was easy to see through the trees. Still is a lovely spot. Couldn’t help but feel as if your parents would pop out to say hello. Your dad in his plaid shirt!! Of course we expect our parents to go but it’s never easy. May the memories keep your hearts warm and peaceful. XO
