It is with great sadness that the Da Silva family announces the passing of their beloved mother, sogra, tia, madrinha and vavo, Mercês. She was predeceased by her husband of 48 years, Joao, and will be forever loved and remembered by her 6 children: Mercês, Margarida, Anna (Steve), Joao Paulo, Graca (Jeff) Rita and their 11 grandchildren: Robert, Nicholas, Elsa, Jacqueline, Kennedy, Madison, Payton, Mateo, Marla, Lucas and Jessiah. She is also predeceased by siblings, Conceição, Albertina, Duarte, survived by Anna Maria, Zenobia, José, Angela and Joao, many nieces and nephews and extended family. They would also like to acknowledge the love and support from amazing neighbours the Hoopers and Matty families, and a special thank you to medical staff from the CCU at RJH for their exceptional care during Merces’ last days.
The viewing will be held on Friday April 19, 2024 at 9:00 am, the rosary at 9:30 am and mass to follow at 10:00 am, will be held at Our Lady Fatima Church, 4635 Elk Lake Drive, Victoria, BC. Burial will be held at Royal Oak Burial Park immediately following Friday’s service.
