It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our much-loved husband, father and grandfather, Tony Gill on Sunday, September 20, 2026.
Tony shared his life with his beloved wife and best friend, Margaret, and was a much-loved dad to Robert, Lynette (Kevin), Sharon (Darren), and Carrie (Mark). He loved being Papa to Natasha, Alex, Matisse, and McKenzie.
He is also deeply missed by his sister Shelley, brother Bimmie and their families in England, neice Heather (Dan) & family in Calgary, as well as his extended family in England and Scotland. Spending time with his family was one of Tony’s greatest joys.
Born in Southampton, England, on August 31, 1950, Tony emigrated to Canada in 1979 and eventually made his home in Victoria. He spent his career as a dental technician, and he operated a dental lab in Oak Bay. He took great pride in his work and in creating beautiful smiles for his clients.
Tony was known for his jokes, his quick laugh, and his kindness. He leaves his family and friends with many wonderful memories, more than a few great stories, and lots to smile about when they think of him.
He will be very deeply missed.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the Sequoia Centre at McCall Gardens, 4665 Falaise Drive, Victoria, on Saturday, November 14, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. Everyone who knew and loved Tony is welcome to attend.
In lieu of flowers, those who wish are invited to make a donation to MS Canada in Tony’s memory.
