Sad to hear , but the short time I spent with Mike and friends was a good time to remember.
Rest in peace
Maureen, so sorry to read of Michael’s passing.
I worked with Michael at The Empress Hotel for many years and we became friends over the years of his employment and afterwards meeting up for coffee and walks along Dallas Rd Waterfront.
We will miss Michael dearly and wish his family condolences
I’ve shared Michael’s obituary with other friends and colleagues from the Empress!
We miss you dearly Michael

Maureen, so very sorry to read your brother’s obituary. I remember when we lived on Woodlawn Road and your family lived on Guysborough Avenue. My brother Danny decided to get an aquarium after seeing Michael’s. When the guppy babies were born the mom started eating them and Danny had to run over to your house to borrow the little floater box to save the babies. Just a little fond “memory” from many years ago…
Earle and I send deepest sympathy to you Maureen and all your family on the sudden death of your brother
Michael. You were so faithful writing him and phoning him on a regular basis. What a shock to learn of his death. May he continue to be held in safety for all eternity.
Love,
Susan & Earle
So sorry to hear of Michael’s passing. He was a good friend and I could always count on his Christmas card being the first one I received. His phone calls were infrequent but we always had a great chat! It was lovely seeing him every time we went to Victoria, and to reminisce about school days. We’ll miss him.
Hi there, it was several years ago since I had seen Michael. However it was a memorable occasion where he was a guest on my boat along with his sisters. We had a lovely tour of Halifax Harbour and I still remember Michael’s interest in the Navy ships and his depth of knowledge about them. Rest in peace Michael.
I loved my weekly NASCAR chaats with Michael every Sunday. It was so nice to reconnect with an old high school friend and share stories and adventures every Sunday as we waited for the NASCAR race to start. I will miss our weekly chats.
Uncle Michael, you will be missed and always in our hearts and thoughts. We love you very much.
