We are deeply saddened to announce Minh Dieu Lam, beloved husband, father, son and brother, moved on peacefully Tuesday morning, March 13, 2012 marking the end of a valiant 10 year fight with brain cancer. He was 43 years old. Minh was born in Vietnam and immigrated to Victoria, BC with his family at the age of 11. He married Lala at the age of 20 and worked very hard building a life for his family. He enjoyed the simple things in life with his family, camping, fishing and travelling. Minh is survived by his loving wife, Lala and his children, Emily and Elston; his parents, Ha and Lien; mother-in-law, Betty Lee; his younger siblings and their families, Yen (Ben), Tonia (Derek), Hong (Brandon), Colin (Mimi). Minh will always be remembered for his gentle nature, calm demeanor and strong family values, but always tremendously brave and courageous in his fight with cancer. We’ll miss you Minh! You will forever live in our hearts and memories.
Visitation will be held at McCall Bros. on Thursday, March 15, 2012 from 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm. Funeral Service will be celebrated in MCCALL BROS. FLORAL CHAPEL, Johnson & Vancouver Streets in Victoria on Friday, March 16th at 1:00 pm. Donations in his memory would be appreciated to Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada. Condolences may be offered to the family below.
