Neil is survived by his wife, Gerlinde; children, Ralph, Glen, Cheryl and stepchildren, Richard, Jeannette, Peter and Eric.
A Celebration of Life will be held in MCCALL BROS. FLORAL CHAPEL, Johnson & Vancouver Streets, at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, July 10, 2012 with a reception to follow in McCall’s Family Centre. In lieu of flowers, donations in Neil’s memory would be appreciated to Victoria Hospice, 1510 Fort Street, Victoria, BC V8S 5J2. Condolences may be offered to the family below

As an Employment Counsellor in Victoria at Spectrum Job Search Centre I met Neil and he often came as a guest speaker to my WorkWise 45+ workshops. He was one of the sweetest, kindest people I have ever met and the employment counselling community was lucky to have him as a part of it. I am so sorry to hear of Neil’s passing and I apologize for this late submission but I had been away travelling this summer and did not know. I will truly miss him and his beautiful accent and that great beard!
