Our wonderful Mum passed away peacefully at home in the arms of her daughters on January 6, 2016. Mum was predeceased by her infant daughter, Elizabeth in 1954 and her loving husband, George in 1983. She is survived by her daughters, Dorothy (Brian) and Jane (Norm), grandson, Tony and great-grandson, Ryland, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and honorary daughter, Angela.
Mum was born on August 29, 1919 in Gwersyllt, North Wales. She was the youngest of six. She married our father in 1947. They immigrated to Canada in 1952, settling in Victoria in 1954. Mum was totally devoted to her family. In her younger days, she was active in the PTA and was a Sunday School Teacher. Despite declining health this past year, Mum continued to enjoy outings with her girls.
Mum, thank you for a wonderful life. We will miss you forever.
A Celebration of Life Service is planned for the Spring.

My love to you all at this sad time I have lovely memories of Auntie Nell when she and George stayed with us at 25 Hull Road Beverley until they left for Canada. Life in the UK was pretty austere in the 50’s so the large pink and white meringues which Mum and Auntie Nell used to bring back from town on a Friday were Magic!! One memory out of manyxx
