It is with sadness that we announce Nora’s death on June 10. Born and raised in James Bay, she lived in Victoria all her life except for a few years in Prince George during WWII. She was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Douglas F. Pearce and her parents, Herbert and Rachel Wilkinson. She is survived by her daughter Lynda O’Keefe (husband Andy), her son Douglas K. Pearce (wife Karlyn), her grandson Glen O’Keefe (wife Teresa), her granddaughter Angela Green (husband Rick), and grandson Trevor Pearce. She will also be missed by her great grandchildren Russell, Ryan, Deanalei, and Jennifer. She was an exceptional daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother. Nora graduated from Victoria High School and worked for many years at Eaton’s department store. After retirement, Nora and Doug enjoyed travelling, gardening, and visiting family and friends. They were both known for their generosity and willingness to help others.
A brief celebration of her life was held at The Heights of Mt. View, 3814 Carey Road at 4 p.m. Thursday, June 16, 2016.
