She waited until we were all together, and on Saturday afternoon, November 20, 2021 we said goodbye to the wife and mother we adored so much .She was as strong and as graceful as anyone could possibly be. We held her hand and we kissed her cheek as her gentle soul crossed to the other side. For those of you who knew Pat, her family was everything to her and she was everything to us. Predeceased by her mother, Dorothy and sister, Mickey, she is survived by her loving husband of 61 years Gary; children Guy, Darrin (Vicky), Dale (Chiara), Carrie Ellen (Dave);  special daughter-in-law, Chris; father, Cliff Banner (Sylvia);siblings Vera (Bob), Deb and Dave (Maureen).

She adored, loved and lived for her grandchildren, Krystina (Luke), Jaime (Alex), Brody, Courtney (Andy), Alexandra, Giuliana, Gabriel, Alison and Nate, and her great grandchildren, Faraley, Sarita, Evan and Frankie. Pat had spent nearly 40 years working in Municipal, Provincial and Federal elections becoming a mentor for many. She loved her extended family there very much. When she wasn’t grand-mothering or working you’d find her hands busy, knitting profusely making baby blankets, sweaters and hats for her great grandchildren yet to arrive or donate to the local maternity ward.

Whether fishing for the big springs at Rock Bay, the beach at Qualicum or a trip to Disneyland, Pat especially loved camping trips with her family. She was the most special wife, mother, grandmother and friend who will be missed so very, very much. A Celebration of Life will be held in the New Year, for those wishing to attend please email Carrie candwilliams@shaw.ca for details.

Guy and family, so sorry for your loss. As difficult as it is to lose someone so special and dear to your hearts, take comfort in knowing she’s ok, still in your memories forever, and has had a profound impact on everyone around her during her wonderful time on Earth. Pat was a special person to everyone she touched. I’m certain she’ll still be touching you all in angelic ways. Wishing you all peace over the holidays as you take the time to remember the stories and laughs you’ve all shared with Pat.

My heart is so sad for all of you. She was the best. Keep your memories tucked away and the day will come when you will all bring them out and enjoy the happiness she wanted for you all. ” Love you “was the last thing we said to each other. I am so grateful to have had her in my life.
