Patricia Judith Mary Crofton (née Williams)

September 13, 1937- January 6, 2023

Comforted by so many cherished memories include 4 daughters: Marietta (Greg), Virginia, Susanna & Tessa (Steffen), 8 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren & many Crofton family members in Canada, brother Michael (Mila) & 2 dear childhood friends Mary & Jill in England.

Patricia was “Little Pat” to our father “Big Pat”, Patrick (1935-2017). Theirs was a love of the ages: meeting in London & engaged within the month, marrying in 1958 & building a busy life & family together over almost 60 years, the best of friends and a true example of a partnership that permitted each their passions. Mum was a creative spirit and loved a good laugh, she was devoted to her family and animals. A weaver, spinner, author, fundraiser, volunteer, sculptor, gardener & avid reader of biographies, she was also an ardent fan of Murder She Wrote, Dogs with Jobs and All Creatures Great and Small. She loved life on the farm surrounded by her sheep & aviary. She would be the first to say she lived a very happy life.

We would like to thank all the wonderful care workers ( Mary, Trish, Gloria & June) and friends who nurtured the spark of her soul, even as she progressed through the journey of Alzheimer’s disease, you were a blessing to us all. We like to imagine Pat & Pat together again, walking through the fields of BallyMurry Farm followed by their menagerie of beloved pets. Enjoy the peace of togetherness because, after all, one day we will all be coming home again!

All things bright & beautiful,

All creatures great & small,

All things wise & wonderful,

The Lord God made them all.

No service by request.

  2. No one could ever have had better neighbours and friends than Patricia and her husband Pat.
We think of them both often, and the happy times spent with them. Always missed, never forgotten.

  3. We have great memories of your mother from her time with the church. She loved to putter in the garden. Pat and Pat where also an amazing couple. She was so calm and quiet yet wise and strong.
May you feel God’s comfort and experience him through other people.

  4. To the girls,
Your parents and my parents had a friendship that was supportive and spoke of kinship. My memories are most keen from your days at Prospect Lake and what fun we had playing sardines in the big house, and of course enjoying all that your family shared- hay rides, swimming, riding. Thank you to your parents for creating community and making all feel welcome. Thoughts are with you all at this time in remembrance of your lovely mother.

  5. Leslie and I are very saddened to learn of Pat’s passing. The two Pats were a remarkable couple who contributed greatly to the betterment of our community and country.
Our sincere condolences to the whole family.
