Pat passed away peacefully early Monday morning. She will be deeply missed by her four sisters, Janet Reaney (Joe) Merritt, BC, Jo Reaney, Kamloops, BC, Beth Reaney Doidge (Lesley) Whanagarei, NZ and Gail Reaney, Victoria, BC and two brothers, Bourke Reaney (Harriett) Lethbridge, AB and Martin Reaney, Saskatoon, SK; and all of her many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  Pat also leaves behind her daughter, Kim Passmore (Josh) and her beloved grandson, Tyler, Swift Current, SK.  Pat and Tyler shared a very special bond with each other.  Predeceased by her parents, Richard (Dick) and Mary (Jane) Reaney.

Pat was a very accomplished seamstress and knitter. She was a great cook and made the best butter tarts ever.  She enjoyed many mini careers over the years including owning a candy store in Courtenay, bookkeeping, Travel Agent, and later, a Serious Coffee Franchise, Latte One in Victoria, BC.

Pat enjoyed Dragon Boating, travelling, sewing, knitting and above all doing things for others. She cycled in Peru and Vietnam and travelled to China in more recent years.

Pat expected perfection, especially in herself. She was kind and generous.  If you did not understand Pat’s sense of humor, often at her own expense, you missed out on knowing a very special person.

Pat was very independent and proud; and faced her disease with such dignity and courage. We will miss her wicked sense of humor. We love you to bits, Pat. xoxo

A Celebration of Life will be held for family and friends on March 4, 2016 at 12:30pm at 812 Wharf Street private room located below Milestones on the Inner Harbour overlooking the ocean.
