Angela and Austin, the BCAS shares your loss. Your husband and father was a great friend to Anesthesiology and a tireless and unselfish supporter of our specialty at a global level. On behalf of the BCAS Board of Directors and your colleagues all over the province, please accept our sincere condolences.
Jim Kim, President, BC Anesthesiologists’ Society
In the name of all members of the Canadian Anesthesiologists’ Society, I would like to express my deepest condolences for your loss.
The passing of Patrick is unquestionably a loss that will be felt by our Society at large.
We will miss his devoted, multi-talented and completely voluntary contributions to CAS events and meetings at home and abroad,
We will remember his tangible support to a myriad of CAS IEF as well as WFSA activities from organizing events and meals right down to manning the CAS IEF booth.
We are very sad to lose an important part of the CAS team and a great friend to many of us.
Please know that your friends are here to assist in your time of grief.
To Angela and Austin,
Hugh and I were so shocked to learn yesterday at our Rotary meeting that Pat had passed away.We have very fond memories of him and his Irish humour!
Angela, I owned the Hallmark store in Grosvenor Park, and pat always referred to me as Mrs. Hallmark!

Dear Angela and Austin,
The encounters with Patrick around the globe will be missed.
Life changing events are never timely.
On Saturday we will unfortunately not be able to be present in Victoria, but we will be with you in our thoughts.

Dear Angela and Austin,
Sincerest condolences on this very sudden loss. Patrick, in all my interactions with him, was a rock of sense and always gave a very balanced opinion about anything when asked. I don’t ever remember him without his camera. He had a great sense of humour and was a wonderful supporter of many good causes.
We’re sorry we cannot be with you on Saturday but you will be in our thoughts and prayers.
Sincerely,
Brendan and Donna Finucane
Angela

My thoughts and prayers are with you and Austin.
With Caring and Sympathy

I knew Patrick as a very loyal and supportive “honorary” member of our organizing committee in the lead up to the World Congress of Anaesthesiologists in 2000. My impression was that he played a major role behind the scenes in supporting Angela”s leadership roles in the CAS and the WFSA. I extend my sympathy to Angela and their son Austin on the passing of Patrick.
Dear Angela and Austin,
We are so sorry to learn of the sudden passing of Pat.
I always enjoyed visiting with him at anesthesia meetings. Perhaps the most fun was at the ASA in San Francisco in October 2000 when he and I kept runing into each other throughout the city…it was obvious that I was skipping out on the meeting.
There are so many memories…all of them great. I will never forget the gorilla suit!
I wish that I could be with you on Saturday.
Sincere condolences,
Rob and Joan
