February 28, 1944 – March 5, 2010
On Friday I lost my husband and best friend of 50 years. Born and raised in Victoria, Pete was a well known Electrical Contractor who was respected by many.
His hobbies included boating, his horses, travelling and “cleaning his truck.”
Pete’s greatest love was his family. He is survived by his life’s love, Kathy; 2 children Susan (Norm) and David (Jo); 5 grandchildren Katie, Rick, Josh, Kyler and little Allysa; sister Mary and brother-in-law Don. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
Service will be held at McCall Bros. Floral Chapel, Johnson & Vancouver St., Victoria BC, on Saturday, March 13th at 1:00 pm.
Please come and share a celebration of Petes’ life with family and friends. Followed by a Tea. In lieu of flowers please donate to your favorite charity.

C. E. "Chic" Goodman I first met Pete in the late 70’s when I had a dive shop in Sidney. We became friends. Last year he did some electrical work for me in my home in North Saanich.
Pete was a warm friendly man and a skilled workman.
My sympathy to his family

Duncan & Katherine Stevenon I have known Pete for over 20 years and considered our relationship as contractor / Inspector very friendly and honest.
Pete was one of those persons whom I would call a complete and trustworthy tradesperson, I am retired now, but I can confidently state that the electrical contracting field has lost a good one.Kathy, Dave, Susan and family, you have Katherine and my condolencies

David Kinakin Dear Kathy, Susan. David, Don, Jo, Norm, Katie, Josh, Rick, Kyler, Ben and Maddie.
My deepest heart felt condolences go out to all of you!!!!!
—————————————————————————————-Pete was a man that was kind and generous
He loved all of us with such joy and pride
that it lit up his face every time we were together. There was never a time that I could not talk to him
or that he would not offer advice (asked for or not)
Some people may not have known Pete the way that I did,
but for those who did not get to see this side of him
missed out on knowing a great man.A man that made sure that his family was taken care of first and foremost, even if it meant he had to sacrifice something important to him.
I will miss you more than you more than you will ever know Pete (Papa)
Love you,
Dave Kinakin

Karen Brown I have had the pleasure of knowing Pete through work – he has been coming into City Hall for years applying for his electrical permits. I will miss his cheerfulness and stories he liked to share about the “old days” – you will be sadly missed Pete! Karen and Gary Brown

Wayne Noullette I’m a contractor and worked with Pete on several projects. I really enjoyed his company and he was a great electrician. We became quite friendly and my wife and myself met up with you both on your boat on a couple of occasions several years ago. So sorry to hear of his passing.
Susan, David and families, I was saddenned to hear of Peter’s passing. David and Peter and I have several mutual contractor customers and they often mentioned the fine quality of Peter’s work. On the occasions that I spoke to Peter he was always cheerful. I know that he will be missed. My thoughts are with you,
Darrell Ell
