I will always treasure my memories of Auntie Phyllis’ magic. Creative, independent, and so much more than charming, she followed her own path …but always reaching out her hand and her heart to her beloved family. And there, basking in the glow of those most loving eyes was my dear Uncle Fred.

Auntie Phyllis lived fully! We will miss her.

    Our thoughts are with you.
    Mary

    Auntie Phyllis!
Visiting Auntie Phyllis was always an adventure! Were we invited to play with the magical treasures that she had collected? Were we to be regaled with tales from her travels while she gathered those treasures? MIght this be one of those incredible afternoons that she might dress me in her pearls and perhaps that Chinese Embroidered Evening Coat? Did that mean we were to be treated to one of those wondrous parties when the grown ups laughed and sometimes danced; those dashing men in their dinner jackets and ladies in crinolines, silks and cocktail hats!!

Auntie Phyllis always swooped me into her thrilling and colourful milieu! No matter my age! Adult or child, a visit with Auntie Phyllis gave me beauty to admire, philosophies to ponder and her astounding energy to carry me along.

I will always think of my talented Auntie Phyllis with great love and admiration, surrounded by the beauties of that which she drew into her world, and the many beauties she created.

Her very bright light will continue in all of us, in this Manning Clan! She has inspired us with lights in our own hearts with her courageous, creative and individual path. We will miss her greatly but she will always, always be in our hearts and in those wondrous memories.

    With love to you all,
    Mary
