1923 – 2010

Randy passed away quietly at home on Monday morning, May 17, 2010. He was born in Victoria and is predeceased by his parents, Vere and Annie and his brothers, Gilbert and Douglas. Randy will be missed by his wife, Rosemary nee Osselton and his loyal dog, Sarah. Randy was a construction carpenter for many years and belonged to the Carpenter’s Union. In later years, he worked for School District 62. He enjoyed fishing, loved nature and all the outdoors. Upon retirement, he travelled to many interesting places and he enjoyed sharing his stories of his trips with everyone. He was a member of Esquimalt Anglers and Victoria Outdoor Club and the Y’s Men’s Club.

To honour the memory of Randy, friends and family are invited to a drop-in tea on Friday, May 28, 2010 at 2:00 pm in St. Paul’s Anglican Church Hall, 1379 Esquimalt Road. In lieu of flowers, if desired, a donation to the SPCA, 3150 Napier Lane, Victoria, BC V8T 4V5 would be appreciated. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.mccallbros.com.

Sorry to hear of Randy’s passing. and Rosemary’s loss.

I have many happy memories of him and feel very fortunate to have had the pleasure of our paths crossing over the last forty years.

Randy will live on in my mind forever and I know he is resting in good company,

    Steve

Dear Rosemary, we are very sorry about your loss of Randy.

His delightful way of starting to say something beginning with “Lassie…..” will never be forgotten by me.

I hope and pray that adjustment will be smooth…but I know it will take a long time, and these coming weeks will be very difficult for you.

I am certain that many members of the Outdoor Club join me in wishing that we could somehow share your pain, to make it more bearable for you.
    Love
    Bernadette (and John ) Harris
