Richard (Dick) Jacob Crowder, born April 25, 1952, passed unexpectedly at VGH on March 8, 2025, from Cerebral Amyloid Angiopathy, which he was originally diagnosed with last spring. He will be missed by his wife Sally and their family: Jamie (Stacey), Sarah (Mark), Paul (Erin), Tim (Magda) and 7 beautiful grandchildren.
His life highlights include small business owner, baseball coach, hockey coach, hockey teacher and director of hockey operations. He also more recently loved fly fishing and home renovations.
Dick’s Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2025 at 1:00 pm, at Mosaic Oaklands Chapel, 2736 Fernwood Road, Victoria. Tributes to him can be made online to Jumpstart, giving kids from families in financial need the chance to participate in sports.

We have fond memories of our visit to Victoria for the pre RBC Cup games. Dick and John had long strategic discussions during the Cup run and John thoroughly enjoyed those talks.
