Family sadly announces the passing of Richard (Ted) Kirby, from complications of Parkinson’s disease at the Royal Jubilee Hospital. He is survived by his wife, Ruth, of 55 years; his daughter, Katherine and her son, Dylan; daughter, Laura and her husband, Douglas Wansbrough; brothers, William of Victoria and Clayton of Oshawa, Ontario. Ted was a teacher and principal for 40 years in a number of school districts throughout British Columbia including Coquitlam, Abbotsford, and Sooke. He was an avid golfer, extraordinary historian, competitive bridge and card player and crossword puzzle aficionado. He was Paisley’s favourite. Ted was an especially devoted husband, father and grandfather.

A quiet man who will be cherished and missed.

Always.
