CUTHBERT, Robert Bruce
September 18, 1959 — January 20, 2010
Bruce passed away suddenly in Victoria at the age of 50. He is survived by his loving family; daughter, Jessica Campbell; mother, Nancy; father, Larry & wife, Lillian; brother, Jim; sister, Sheila & husband, Monty; and favorite (and only) nephew, Jordan. Bruce is lovingly remembered by his many aunts, uncles and cousins in Alberta; cousin, Susan Vancouver; and family friends, Bev, Victoria, Lindsay, Victoria and Evelyn in England. Bruce was born and raised in Victoria, graduating from Victoria High School, then on to UBC where he earned his Engineering Physics degree. He starting his career at Centinel Vision then moved on to work with Questek Research and Development Corporation for 15 years. Bruce enjoyed working with his colleagues and friends, Rick and Andy. Bruce was blessed to have had so many close friends that stood by him through thick and thin. He, in return, was a true friend — with a great sense of humour. If you had a problem with your computer, car, toaster or shoe, a call to Bruce would solve it. His talent, knowledge, memory and communication skills were astounding. We have lost a treasure.
A Memorial Service will be held at McCall Bros. Floral Chapel, Johnson and Vancouver Streets on Friday, January 29, 2010 at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Bruce’s favourite charity, The SPCA, 3150 Napier Lane, Victoria, BC V8T 4V5.

I was sorrry to hear of Bruce’s passing. Although it’s been more than 40 years since we lived in Belmont Park I have thought of your family many times over the years.
