Passed away peacefully at Saanich Peninsula Hospital on Monday, April 4th, 2011 at the age of 90. He will be lovingly remembered by Joan, his wife of 67 years; sons, Bob (Doris), Norman (Victoria), Paul (Carolyn); grandchildren, Derek, Stuart (Janice), Nicole (James), Philip (Meagan), Amy and Lauren; great-grandchildren, Cassie, Nicholas, Taryn, Olive and Isaac. Predeceased by his brother, John; sisters, Margaret MackIntosh, and Lee Walker. Bob was born in Sussex, England to Leonard and Emily and at age six immigrated to Canada where the family settled in the Strawberry Vale area. As “Burow Electric” he served the Greater Victoria district for over 45 years. He retired to his waterfront home on Lands End Rd. where he and Joan enjoyed many years together graciously entertaining family and friends.

A Celebration of Bob’s Life will be held at SEQUOIA GARDENS MEMORIAL, 4665 Falaise Drive on Monday, April 11, at 1:00 pm with a reception to follow. Flowers gratefully declined.     Joan and Bob and Paul, We were so sorry to find the passing of Bob. I remember him as a true gentleman. As a part of my dad’s busness it was always a good team of guys, I am sure I would not even know the boys if I saw them, but both Jake and I send our thoughts of sympathy to you all.
