Hello Dorthy, we were so sad when Don and I heard of Nolan’s passing, and want you to know our thoughts have been with you often the past few days. While we didn’t know you both till we all retired here, I feel that knowing you has been such fun on many occasions. Don and I were so sorry we were unable to be with you at Nolan’s memorial, but held you both in our thoughts and prayers that day. Nolan will be greatly missed by many and we hope you find comfort in all your great memories you must have. It’s been a great ride, being a policeman’s wife, and I don’t think either of us would change much of it!! Bless you and keep you, and yours.
Sincerely Dawn and Don Duke
My deepest condolences to Aunt Dorothy, John Paul, Doug, Brian and Jim, and all of the family. I know what it’s like to lose a father. At first you cry, then you think of all the things you didn’t get to do with him, all the things you wish you had said. But then you remember all of the special moments and everything that he gave, all he taught. You, my cousins, would not be who you are today without his love and lessons. That I respect and I know you are proud of. Through the years “Dorothy and Nolan” became one word. You four brothers completed the sentence. We will miss Uncle Nolan. Inessa, Marika and I love you all very much.
Auntie Dorothy, JP, Doug, Brian and Jim and your families…
Please accept my deepest condolence on the passing of Uncle Nolan. I’ve been lucky to have a lot of uncles in my life, but he was one of the best. Even though i usually only got to see him during Christmas visits to Victoria, i really cherished those times. He always took an interest in what was happening in my life and always had a great perspective on things.
With deepest sympathies….
