Robert Rennoldson Wilson, born in Victoria on April 13, 1926, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 18, 2011. Now home, in the Presence of his Lord.

Predeceased by parents George and Isabella, sister Florence (Corbett) and brothers George and Ernie.

He was a gentleman. His faith in God manifested itself as he served in the Salvation Army Bands in Victoria and Vancouver. His working career began with Bapco Paint on Laurel Point and, after being transferred to Vancouver, he eventually retired from CIL Paints in Surrey.

Loving husband of Muriel (nee McInnes); Dad of Karen and Brenda (Don Armstrong); Papa to Grandchildren Tammy (Jason), Jennifer (Raul) and Scott; Great-Papa to Devin, Michael, Grace, Chase, Miranda, Kylie and Seanna.

The family would like to thank the staff and volunteers at Central Care Home for all of their compassion and care.

A Celebration of Robert’s Life will be held at the Salvation Army Victoria Citadel, 4030 Douglas Street, on Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at 11:30 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army Victoria Citadel or the Alzheimer’s Society. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.mccallbros.com.
